'A Good Life' is the the National Youth Week award winning song written by the 'WEL's angels' - a group of young people from diverse multicultural migrant and refugee backgrounds from Melbourne's Western suburbs through a series of workshops led by performing artists Kattimoni and Sahida Apsara and produced by Wayne 'Lotek' Bennett.

'A Good Life' is a collective response to the question; How can we live a good life? In what ways can we work together to create a good future?

VOICE FOR CHANGE

Workshops

VOICE FOR CHANGE is a uniquely tailored workshop that supports participants to develop confidence in having their voices and experiences heard, to develop valuable leadership, communication, performance and presentation skills in a safe, creative and fun environment.

Creativity is used as a catalyst for personal and collective reflection. The workshops and programs provide a supportive space participants to engage in conversations and develop artistic work that addresses important  and relevant issues relating (but not limited) to; identity, social justice, self-image, mental health and well-being.

Utilizing singing, hip-hop and spoken-word techniques, song-writing, creative arts explorations, dance, movement and mindfulness based practices as a tool for building a strengthened sense of identity and confidence, mutual support and connection amongst peers and attitudes of respect, acceptance and cross-cultural understanding within the group.

Kattimoni works in partnership to tailor one off workshops or ongoing programs to suit the needs of schools, community groups and organizations.

Katti presents with commitment and grace, radiating a positive flow of energy to her audience. She is able to engage in a gentle and influential way with young people at risk of social marginalisation. She is flexible and adaptable to cultural and faith diversity.
